MRX -  Q4 revenues increased 22.4%. Q1 guidance lower than expected. Monday will be a slight green day.

NR - Newpark Resources Inc. (NYSE:NR) reported Q4 EPS of $0.15, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.09.

SPWRA -  SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWRA) reported Q4 EPS of $1.36, $0.31 better than the analyst estimate of $1.05. Revenue for the quarter came in at $937.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $930.63 million.

MXWL -  Maxwell Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:MXWL) reported Q4 EPS of $0.04, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter came in at $34.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $33.92 million.

BRCD -  Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:BRCD) reported Q1 EPS of $0.12, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter came in at $546 million versus the consensus estimate of $543.89 million.

Hot Stocks To Watch Thursday Feb 3, 2011 : NWS, NYT, CHTP, LVS

NWS - The company said it earned $642 million, or 24 cents a share, compared with a profit of $254 million, or 10 cents a share, in the ear ago period. Revenue rose to $8.76 billion from $8.68 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters were expecting earnings of 28 cents a share on sales of $8.7 billion.

NYT -  New York Times (NYT) is expected to report fourth-quarter earnings of 35 cents a share on Thursday.

CHTP -  The biotechnology company said it would modify a study of its hypotension drug Northera after finding a greater-than-expected benefit in participants in the control group taking placebo, making it hard to determine the drug’s effect. Shares are expected to drop more.

LVS -  Las Vegas Sands Corp. announced that its board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend payment of $2.50 per share on its outstanding 10% Series A Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock to stockholders of record at the close of business on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. The dividend payment will be made on February 15, 2011, as specified in the Certificate of Designation for the preferred stock.
